Six new Site seminars during IMIC 2010

Site Greece supports IMIC 2010 with some of the best intl. speakers in the industry like, Ray Bloom, President of IMEX UK, Linda Pereira Managing Director, CPL Events Portugal, Padraig Gilligan, Managing Director Ovations Ireland (Site President in 2008) and Tasso Pappas CITE, Site President in 2000. Site Greece Chapter, announces the next networking event for members and idustry friends on November 2nd, 2009 following Philoxenia, at the Olympia Hotel in Thessaloniki.


"Essentials of the Incentive World"

On Monday 2 November 2009, at 18.00

 

At this important seminar we shall present you the elementary elements of the incentive world and its requirements. Find out all about the important rules any incentive executive should know like:

 

  • What is incentive travel?
  • What are its differences with tourism travel?
  • What are the advantages of Incentive Travel?
  • What are the differences of Incentive travel and Meetings?
  • What the corporate buyer wants?

This presentation (in English) will be followed by a panel discussion about Incentive Management with the participation of Incentive professionals like DMC, Incentive House and Hotelier, who will share their experiences, vision and reasons of success with you on subjects like:

  • Planning (survey, proposal, pre-evaluation, inspection, presentation, re-confirmation
  • Execution + crisis management
  • Staff training + motivation management
  • Project evaluation

12 DEC, 2008 site GREECE GENERAL ASSAMBLY

The next site Greek General Assembly will take place at the hotel Classic Athens Imperial Hotel (Achilleos and M. Alexandrou Street, ATHENS, 10437) 

The program of the evening will be:

17:00-19:00       General Assembly for members only

19:00-20:30       Educational program and open forum discussion for members and guests on the theme

21:00-23:00       Networking dinner incl. wines

Participation fee for the educational program and dinner:

All members are kindly requested to participate at this important GA and requested to bring a guest with tem for the educational and dinner part. During this GA you will:

  • Elect 4 new board directors for the period 2009 and 2010.
  • Approve some vital bylaw changes proposed by the actual board 
  • Approve the 2008 actions of the Board and the finances.
  • Approve the 2009 budget and
  • Determine the future strategic plan of the chapter and immediate actions to be taken.

Any chapter member can be a candidate for election at one of the 4 open board seats and participate at the General Assembly provided he/she is financially in order with the chapter fees. The few members who have not paid yet are requested to take contact with the Treasurer Mr Michael Argiri at the number 210-360-0812. Candidates for the Board should be physically present at the GA meeting.

The site Greek Chapter is organising its next Networking Event for members and Incentive industry colleagues, with the theme "Challenges of today. Solutions for tomorrow"  on  July 2nd at a most exciting place, the luxurious,

IMIC 2008 February 6-7

The site Greek chapter will support again IMIC 2008 will take place in Athens from February 6 to 7 2008, and will participate at the IMIC Advisory Board. The educational program of the conference will be enhanced next year with

  • A Buyers Familiarization program,
  • A Buyer meets Supplier networking session and
  • Destination presentations

The format of next years conference will be the following:

  • Two days pre-conference event with hosted international buyers to promote "Destination Greece".
  • Two days educational sessions.
  • Half day workshop pre arranged paid appointments between buyers and suppliers.
  • Half day parallel sessions with presentations of "International and Greek Destinations".
  • One and half day educational sessions.
  • Inauguration networking evening event.
  • Suppliers exhibition.

 

site Greece has assured some of the best site speakers for the event, which at the same time has draw a great interest from foreign planner/buyers.

2ND site GREEK CHAPTER 2007 GENERAL ASSEMBLY

The next site Chapter General Assembly will take place on at the hotel Atheneum Intercontinental, Athens on Friday December 14, 2007 at 18:00 hrs.

During the GA, there will be elections for three Board positions. Canditates for the moment are the members Balakakis Giannis, Constantinidis Christos and Mihailides Yannis.

ATHENS GET TOGETHER OCT 3 2007

On Oct. 3rd the site Greece members got together at the restaurant PLOUS PODILATOU at Microlimano for a networking dinner which was preceded by a presentation given by Mr Alexandros Kouris, Managing Director of PRC group, on the subject "A space of  infinite experiences"; Greece is repositioning itself as tourist and business destination.

 

The presentation will be followed by dinner with very animated discussions on several industry matters. Several industry friends, non site members, joined us for the event and for finding out more about site and the membership. It was an excellent event, at the beautiful settings of Microlimano. 

site GREECE SEMINAR IN CRETE OCT 15 2007

The site Greek Chapter  hold an educational and networking activity in Crete at,  KALIMERA KRITI HOTEL on October 15th

The seminar subject was the "Essentials of the Incentive World&"; followed up by a panel discussion on "Incentive Administration Management". The event was open to all site members and non members industry professionals interested to find out more about the incentive market, the "dos and don'ts" of it.

The presenter was Tasso Pappas CITE, President of site Greece, and the panelists: Mr Michael Argiri,  Managing Director of Conceptours DMC

Mr Giannis Balakakis, Managing Director of Gnomon Performance Incentive Organizer, and Mr Vassilis Stamatelopoulos Regional Sales Director of Helios Hotels & Resorts.

The seminar was followed by a panel discussion and Q&A on various hot subjects concerning practices, policies and problems in our industry. The event was well attended by Cretan Hoteliers, DMC, Travel agents and students from the Trinity College. After the educational session many of the attendants stayed for dinner and networking.

2007 site GREECE GENERAL ASSEMBLY

The 1st General Assembly of the Greek chapter took place at the Hotel Divani Caravel in Athens on March 30th 2007. Well over 51% of the members were present or represented.

 

Following the report of the President and the agenda discussions the membership elected the first council of the Board directors for 2007-2008 which is.
